IBIZA
Ibiza is the third island of the Balearics Islands as far as surface area is concerned. It is found among the 38º 50" 40"" and 39º 06" 22"" parallels and among the 1º 17" 27"" and 1º 377" 48"" meridians. It is 82 km far from Majorca, 97 km from Cape de la Nao (Alicante) and 138 nautical miles from Algeria (Africa). But its nearest island is Formentera, only a few miles away, which is another paradise in the Mediterranean Sea.
Ibiza has a population of around 93,000 inhabitants, however this figure increases considerably during the summer months.
It has a surface area of 567.51 km2 and a perimeter of 170 km. The maximum interior distances are 41 km (to the North-South) and 20 km. (to the East-West).
Its coast combines vast beaches with rocky mountains and cliffs. Also, many islets such as Es Vedrá, Tagomago, Sa Conillera… are to be found around the island.
