WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY VEHICLE IN IBIZA?

You can pick up the car at any of our offices or at the airport. Autos Marí has offices in Cala Llonga, Siesta, Santa Eulalia, Santa Eulalia-Cas Capitá (in front of Hotel Tropical Garden), S’Argamassa, and Portinatx.

If you would like the vehicle delivered to another location, there will be an additional cost of €40, and this service is available during office hours. If you wish to use this option, please let us know when making your reservation.

HOW DO I PICK UP THE CAR AT IBIZA AIRPORT?

The vehicle pick-up point is located at the meeting point of the public parking lot P1 on the first floor, space 384 of the airport. At this same spot, our staff will hand over the vehicle to you, so there’s no need to go to any other location.

IS THERE ANY EXTRA CHARGE FOR PICKING UP THE CAR AT IBIZA AIRPORT?

  • Delivery at the airport from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM: €15
  • Delivery from 8:01 PM to 11:00 PM: €35
  • Delivery from 11:01 PM to 7:59 AM: €45

WHAT DO I NEED TO RENT A VEHICLE IN IBIZA?

All you need is a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of experience, a credit card, and to be over 23 years old.

CAN I PAY FOR MY VEHICLE RENTAL IN IBIZA WITH CASH?

If you prefer, you can pay either in cash or by credit card.

WHAT DO I NEED AS A DEPOSIT TO RENT A VEHICLE IN IBIZA?

At the time of signing the contract, a hold will be placed on your credit card for the amount of the deductible corresponding to the vehicle group rented. This hold will be released once the vehicle is returned in the agreed-upon condition.

WHAT DOES THE INSURANCE COVER FOR MY RENTAL CAR IN IBIZA?

The insurance covers third-party damage, occupants, and theft, with a deductible ranging from €400 to €1000 depending on the type of vehicle you choose. Damages are not covered under any circumstances if you drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs or engage in reckless driving. The insurance does not cover lost keys or items stolen from inside the car.

CAN I PURCHASE ZERO-DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE FOR MY RENTAL VEHICLE IN IBIZA?

You have the option to purchase zero-deductible insurance for a price ranging from €15 to €25, depending on the vehicle group reserved.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY ZERO-DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE FOR MY RENTAL VEHICLE IN IBIZA?

The insurance does not cover, under any circumstances, the loss of keys, fuel, refueling with the wrong type of fuel, or items that may be stolen from inside the vehicle.

IS THERE A CANCELLATION FEE FOR MY VEHICLE RENTAL RESERVATION IN IBIZA?

If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, there will be no cancellation fee. If you cancel within 48 hours, the cancellation fee will be equivalent to one day’s rental cost.

FUEL POLICY FOR MY VEHICLE RENTAL IN IBIZA

  • The vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of fuel.
  • It must be returned full.
  • If it is not returned full, the cost of the fuel consumed will be charged, plus a €20 refueling service fee.

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS — AUTOS MARÍ (2026)

1. Included in the price

  • The rental price includes insurance with excess, CDW, PAI and vehicle theft cover. It does not, under any circumstances, include personal belongings stolen from inside the vehicle.

  • VAT and local taxes.

  • Unlimited mileage.

2. Not included in the price

  • Damage for an amount lower than the applicable excess.

  • Loss, theft, breakage, deterioration or moisture damage to keys, remote controls, helmets, cables or any other accessories supplied with the vehicle, according to the manufacturer’s replacement cost.

  • Theft, loss or damage of personal belongings carried in the vehicle.

  • Fuel: The vehicle is supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full.

  • Fines, penalties, tolls, immobilization costs and 35 EUR as an administrative fee for processing fines.

  • Excessive vehicle dirtiness: 150 EUR.

  • Smoking inside the vehicle or leaving persistent odors: 150 EUR.

3. Requirements to rent

  • For groups A, B, C, D and E: 23 years of age and 3 years holding a driving licence.

  • For groups G, H, H1, H2 and H3: 25 years of age and 3 years holding a driving licence.

  • For groups H4, H5, H6, I2, I3 and I5: 27 years of age and 5 years holding a driving licence.

  • For group T: 25 years of age, category A licence and 3 years holding the licence.

  • The renter must present a valid ID card, NIE or passport, as well as a driving licence valid in Spain. If the licence was issued outside the European Union, an international driving permit or an official translation must be presented where applicable.

  • If, at vehicle collection, the customer does not meet the age, documentation, licence validity, card ownership or financial requirements needed to provide the security deposit, Autos MarĂ­ may refuse to hand over the vehicle and apply the relevant cancellation charges.

4. Credit card and security deposit

  • A block or pre-authorization will be made on the credit card for the amount of the excess corresponding to the rented vehicle group. This pre-authorization will be cancelled once the contract has ended, provided the vehicle is returned at the agreed time, place and in the agreed condition.

  • If the zero-excess insurance is taken out, a credit card in the name of the main driver must be presented and a 150 EUR block will be made to cover non-covered items.

  • Autos MarĂ­ may retain or charge additional amounts where there is damage, missing fuel, unpaid extras, fines, handling fees, special cleaning, loss of keys or any other contractual breach.

6. SCDW – Zero-excess insurance

  • With this extra, the customer is exempt from paying the excess for covered damage to the vehicle.

  • Only a 150 EUR block will be made on the card.

  • Does not, under any circumstances, include: Loss or damage to keys, helmets, cables, personal belongings, fuel, fines, administrative fees, special cleaning, misfuelling, salt-water damage, gross negligence, reckless driving, driving off paved roads, or damage caused by breach of these general conditions.

7. Zero-excess insurance prices

  • Group A, B and C: 15 EUR/day.

  • Group D, D1, D2 and E: 17 EUR/day.

  • Group G, G1: 21 EUR/day.

  • Group H, H1, H2 and H3: 23 EUR/day.

  • Group H4, I, I2, I3 and I5: 25 EUR/day.

  • Group T: 12 EUR/day.

8. Fuel policy

  • At the airport: The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full.

  • At branch offices: The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as when it was supplied.

  • If the vehicle is not returned with the agreed fuel level, the fuel used will be charged plus 20 EUR for refuelling service.

  • The customer must refuel with the correct fuel indicated by the manufacturer and keep the receipt. Misfuelling or use of unsuitable fuel shall be entirely at the customer’s expense.

  • You must leave the fuel station receipt inside the vehicle and refuel no more than 10 km from the return location.

9. BP petrol station – airport area

  • Please note that the BP petrol station in Sant Jordi is usually very busy; do not arrive there at the last minute.

  • First tell the cashier that you want to fill the tank, as it operates on a prepayment basis. This way, they will activate the pump for you.

  • Make sure the tank is completely full.

10. Extras and additional services

  • Airport delivery from 08:00 to 20:00: 15 EUR.

  • Delivery from 20:01 to 23:00: 35 EUR.

  • Delivery from 23:01 to 07:59: 45 EUR.

  • Delivery or return at villa/hotel: 80 EUR per trip.

  • Baby seats and booster seats: 5 EUR/day.

  • GPS: 8 EUR/day.

  • Additional driver: 5 EUR/day.

11. Deliveries, flight delays and schedules

  • When delivery or return takes place at the airport, the customer must provide in advance all correct flight details, terminal, scheduled time and contact telephone number.

  • In the event of a flight delay, early arrival, change or cancellation, the customer must inform Autos MarĂ­ immediately. If the incident is not reported with sufficient notice, Autos MarĂ­ does not guarantee delivery at the initially scheduled time and may pass on any additional costs incurred.

  • If the customer does not appear at the agreed place and time without prior notice, the booking may be considered a no-show and be subject to the applicable cancellation charges.

12. Cancellations, amendments and no-show

  • Cancellations must be requested in writing by email to rent@autosmari.com.

  • Cancellations made up to 48 hours before arrival will not incur cancellation costs. If the cancellation is made outside that period, one rental day will be charged.

  • Changes to dates, times, office, delivery point or category are subject to availability and to the rate in force at the time of the change, and must be made by email.

  • If the customer does not appear at the agreed time without prior notice, Autos MarĂ­ may cancel the booking and apply the above amounts as a no-show charge.

13. Extension of the rental

  • The extension of the contract may only be made with Autos MarĂ­’s express written authorization and is always subject to availability.

  • The extension must be requested as far in advance as possible and, preferably, before the contract end date and time.

  • If the customer keeps the vehicle without prior authorization, Autos MarĂ­ may charge the additional days at the current counter rate, plus administrative expenses and any losses caused by the vehicle’s unavailability.

14. Model, category and availability

  • Bookings are made by category and not by specific model. Unless expressly confirmed in writing, Autos MarĂ­ does not guarantee make, model, engine type, color or specific equipment.

  • If the booked category is unavailable, Autos MarĂ­ may provide a vehicle of a similar or higher category at no additional cost to the customer.

15. Use of the vehicle

  • The rented vehicle may only be used for private purposes and by duly registered drivers. In the event of use contrary to these conditions or to current legislation, Autos MarĂ­ may terminate the contract without any right to a refund and claim compensation for any losses or damages caused.

16. Prohibited uses

It is strictly forbidden to:

  • Commercial passenger transport.

  • Pushing or towing any other vehicle or object.

  • Smoking or using electronic cigarettes, vapes, hookahs or similar devices in the vehicle.

  • Taking part in races, competitions or sporting events, whether official or not.

  • Carrying out endurance tests, trials or abnormal use of the vehicle.

  • Driving off paved roads or on tracks unsuitable for normal traffic.

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that impairs driving ability.

  • Carrying prohibited or dangerous goods, or exceeding the authorized weight, volume or number of passengers.

  • Using the vehicle to commit crimes or offences.

  • Modifying the vehicle structure, fitting unauthorized accessories or tampering with the odometer.

  • Taking the vehicle out of Ibiza without Autos MarĂ­’s prior written authorization.

  • Carrying animals without Autos MarĂ­’s express authorization.

  • Allowing the vehicle to be driven by persons not registered or not approved by Autos MarĂ­.

  • Transporting children or babies without the appropriate child restraint system.

17. Damage, accidents and duty to report

  • The customer must look after the vehicle with due care and notify Autos MarĂ­ of any damage, breakdown, puncture, theft, attempted theft or accident as soon as they become aware of it and, in any case, within the following 24 hours.

  • If third parties are involved or there is an accident with another vehicle, the customer must correctly complete the accident report form and, where appropriate, notify the competent authority.

  • Failure to report within the required period, concealment of damage or returning the vehicle without reporting an incident may give rise to administration costs and loss of insurance cover to the extent legally applicable.

18. Accident report form and claim documentation

  • The customer must complete the accident report form fully and truthfully, sign it where appropriate and send it together with photographs of the damage, the registration numbers of the vehicles involved and any third-party details that may be necessary.

  • Incomplete, false or insufficient information that prevents proper handling of the claim may make the customer liable for non-covered damage.

19. Tyres, rims, clutch and roadside assistance

  • Damage to tyres, rims, clutch and the underside of the vehicle resulting from misuse, negligence, driving off paved roads or unreported impact shall be borne by the customer.

  • Roadside assistance will be provided in accordance with the contracted cover and the instructions given by Autos MarĂ­. When the incident is not covered or results from improper use, towing, travel, recovery or repair costs shall be borne by the customer.

20. Total loss and loss of the right to use

  • If the vehicle is declared a total loss due to the customer’s fault, gross negligence or an incident not properly documented by means of an accident report form or police report when required, the customer shall not be entitled to any refund of the unused rental amount.

  • In such case, the customer shall also bear any costs not covered by the insurance, towing, immobilization, handling, missing fuel and any loss arising from the vehicle’s unavailability.

21. Replacement vehicle

  • When the vehicle is immobilized due to a breakdown or incident not attributable to the customer, Autos MarĂ­ will make reasonable efforts to offer a solution or a replacement vehicle, subject to availability.

  • If the customer requests a different vehicle or a higher category vehicle, the current rate and the conditions of the new contract shall apply.

  • There shall be no obligation of immediate replacement when the immobilization results from improper use, contractual breach or an incident attributable to the customer.

22. Personal belongings

  • Autos MarĂ­ is not responsible for money, luggage, electronic devices or any other personal belongings left in the vehicle.

  • The customer must remove all belongings at the end of the rental. Any damage to the vehicle resulting from leaving visible or risky items inside shall be at the customer’s expense.

23. Formentera and taking the vehicle off the island

  • It is strictly forbidden to take the vehicle to Formentera or to any other place outside the island of Ibiza without Autos MarĂ­’s prior written authorization.

  • All penalties, damages, towing, transport, assistance and any other consequences arising from this breach shall be borne entirely by the holder of the rental contract.

24. Governing law

  • These general conditions shall be governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable regulations and, where appropriate, before the courts and tribunals having legal jurisdiction.

NOTE:

  1. IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO TRANSPORT THE VEHICLE TO FORMENTERA OR ANY OTHER LOCATION OUTSIDE IBIZA. PENALTIES ARISING FROM NON-COMPLIANCE WILL BE BORNE BY THE RENTAL CONTRACT HOLDER.
